Visa Types

VISA REQUIREMENTS

  1. Valid passport (more than nine months before expiry) with at least three blank pages, if in possession of an old passport kindly attach it onto the new passport.
  2. Completed Visa application forms Download Form
  3. Passport photo (American standard) white background, please write your name and passport number behind the photo. Photo Requirements
  4. Please register on the first page – Your email address, Your ID number, & Available phone number.  Invitation letter from an Israeli
  5. Itinerary /Hotel booking with verifiable contacts
  6. Personal Bank account statement (of at least six months). Please fill in a Bank Consent Form Download Bank Consent Form
  7. Letter from your employer or company- if you are the owner of a company, present a letter from your accountant
  8. Proof of Travel Insurance for the period you are travelling
  9. Application fees of USD 107 (cash in USD)
  10. Flight details return ticket (Only booking)
  11. For B2 Visa, Applicants between ages 18-39 need a certificate of good conduct certified by ministry of foreign affairs
  12. If travelling for a conference, avail copies of academic documents certified by your college and ministry of foreign affairs. (A conference Applicant must hand in his/her Application in person)
Processing Time: One Month
Important: No documents or photos should be STAPLED or GLUED.

If Travelling with Minor:

  1. Original Birth certificate, certified by ministry of foreign affairs (stamped at the back)
  2. Photocopy of the certified birth certificate
  3. Letter of consent of travelling from both parents signed at the VAC office, copies of parent’s ID’S (national ID’s) and Passport.
  4. If minor is travelling with one parent the letter of consent should be signed by the other parent that is not travelling
  5. If minor is travelling with both parents, just certified original birth certificates needed in order to proof that the parents are indeed the ones accompanying the minor

Since the fee is collected for handling the application, it will not be refunded to the applicant if the visa is not issued for any reason.

PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS

Note: The photo requirements are very strict. Please follow these instructions carefully.
  • Color photograph
  • No border
  • White or light colored background
  • Face takes up 70-80% of photo
  • Sharp focus and clear
  • High quality with no marks
  • Looking directly at camera
  • 5cm x 5cm size
  • Natural skin tone
  • Taken within last 3 months
  • No headgear covering face
  • No hats/caps
  • Hair not tucked behind ears
  • No shadows or flash reflections
Not Accepted: Scanned or color photocopies of photos

B/2 VISITOR'S VISA

A B/2 visa is granted to someone who wishes to stay in Israel for only a short time. A person who enters Israel on a B/2 visa is not allowed to work in the State of Israel.

A B/2 visa is valid for up to three months from the date of issue. The duration of the stay in Israel will be determined by the Border Police.

Please note: A minor will not be given a visa without the written consent of both parents, or his legal guardian(s), signed by an attorney.

BAHAI FAITH VOLUNTEER VISA

The visa will be issued by the mission upon provision of the following:

  1. Visa application form, duly completed and signed by the applicant. Click here to download Visa form
  2. A passport valid for at least 9 months.
  3. The passport must have at least 3 double blank pages at the time of application.
  4. A confirmation letter from ministry of interior.
  5. A recent, clear, passport photo (5cm x 5cm) on a white background & high quality paper. Click here to download the Israel Embassy photo requirements and studio locations.
  6. A return flight booking for your journey.
  7. A bank statement for the past 6 months.
  8. Service charge + Courier fee of 80$ (inclusive of VAT). Mode of payment cash in UGX/USD
  9. A Letter from an employer or Company.
  10. An Invitation letter from ISRAEL. The letter can only be obtained from an Israeli citizen, an Israeli company based in Israel.
  11. An international Travel & Medical Insurance to cover you for the duration of your stay in Israel.
  12. Interpole letter /Police clearance, and certified by ministry of foreign affairs.
  13. No documents or Photos should be STAPLED or GLUED.

The consul may request additional documents.

EXCEPTIONS BAHAI CATEGORIES

  1. Bahai without any confirmation, needs to bring all the requirements, just like any other application, and should pay visa fee.

Since the fee is collected for handling the application, it will not be refunded to the applicant if the visa is not issued for any
reason.

STUDENT VISA

This visa is granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshivot and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency.

The visa is valid for up to one year and for multiple entrances and exits. Recipients of this visa are not permitted to work in Israel.

The visa is granted to students who provide the following:

  1. A passport that is valid for at least one year, the passport must be valid for the entire period of studies and another six months beyond that
    time. The travel document should have at least 6 blank visa pages.
  2. One passport photo 5 x 5 cm, white background, high quality.
  3. Completed and signed application form. Click here to download Visa form.
  4. Letter of Admission from institution of Education in Israel including the name of the program, start date duration and details of scholarship (if granted) with relevant contact details.
  5. Letter of current employment/institution.
  6. Original certificate from University, certified by institution and ministry of foreign affairs.
  7. Certificate of good conduct authenticated by ministry of foreign affairs
  8. Proof of accomodation i.e dormitories or place to live,
  9. Payment of the tuition fee if on partial or no scholarship.
  10. Travel and medical insurance for the entire period
  11. Flight itinerary/booking.
  12. If below 40 years, one must have Police clearance/Interpole letter, and certified by ministry of foreign affairs.
  13. Application fee of USD 134 (inclusive of VAT). Mode of payment is cash (UGX/USD)

UNITED NATIONS (UN) EMPLOYEE VISA

Exceptions:
The following groups are exception cases and therefore have different requirements:

Diplomatic and official passports:
Do not need to pay visa fee and do not need to introduce bank statements. All the other requirements are needed. Please note
that applicant can also directly approach the Embassy of Israel for the visa.

United Nations and all its sub-groups ( UNICEF, UNFPA, UNOPS, UNMAS, UN-WOMEN, UN-HABITAT, UNODC, UNIDO, UNDSS, UNDPP..)

All UN workers and their family members need visa to Israel regardless to their nationality, if going on an official mission to Israel (Short term mission or long term mission).

Note: This visa is NOT valid for entering Gaza.

Visa & Courier Service fee USD 80.

In order to coordinate or enter to Gaza, UN headquarters will contact the Israeli army through the following link: http://www.cogat.idf.il/1570-en/IDFG.aspx

Requirements are as following:

  1. Official letter from the United Nations headquarters regarding the person's mission (and his family members), the letter usually mentions on which passport (national or official) the visa should be.
  2. Photo Copy of national passport.
  3. Photo 5cm x 5cm.
  4. Special visa application forms for United Nations officials. Click here to download Special Request form for UN

  5. Proof of Medical insurance.
  6. Flight details.
  7. Courier & Service fee of USD 80$, (inclusive of VAT). Mode of payment is either cash (UGX/USD)

No documents or Photos should be STAPLED or GLUED.

In cases of United Nations Employees visiting Israel for private reasons (tour, friends etc), please act according to regular requirements of B/2 visit on national passport.

DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL VISA

Requirements are as following:

  1. Visa application form, duly completed and signed by the applicant. Click here to download Visa form
  2. A passport valid for at least 9 months.
  3. The passport must have at least 3 double blank pages at the time of application.
  4. An Invitation letter from ISRAEL. The letter can only be obtained from an Israeli citizen, an Israeli company based in Israel.
  5. Letter from Employer
  6. Hotel Booking
  7. Travel and medical insurance for the entire period

No documents or Photos should be STAPLED or GLUED.

Diplomatic & official passport holders travelling on private matters will require to bring a bank statement for six months.
